Fine Motor Class

Proficiency in fine-motor control allows a child to develop skills that will impact their life immediately and into adulthood.  Undeveloped fine motor skills affect a child’s social, academic, emotional, and vocational life.  School children spend approximately 60%-70% of their time completing fine-motor work or activities; yet, approximately 12% of school aged      children experience difficulties in this area.  This course will help your child   develop their fine motor skills,  preparing them for life skills.

The goal of the class is to improve the functional capacity of each individual participant as opposed to teaching the student how to fight.  This is accomplished through a group setting utilizing community standards and rules of etiquette.

This class will not only enhance social skills, but will also help facilitate improvements in balance, coordination, strengthening and cognition (i.e. memory, attention span, sequencing, spatial awareness and motor planning).
